Watch “Two Coffins,” the New Video from Against Me!
In 2014, Florida punk rock crew Against Me! released Transgender Dysphoria Blues, an offering that Riffyou.com named its Album of the Year in part because of its “uncompromising honesty in the face of a society that doesn’t yet fully embrace or understand what it means, or feels, to be transgender.”
The album’s most stripped-down track is “Two Coffins,” a song that discusses the realization that both you and your child will be dead someday. That description may make this song from Against Me! seem morbid, but it’s actually quite beautiful.
