Watch Dave Grohl Drum with Rise Against
During a show earlier this month at Coopers Stadium in Adelaide, South Australia, Rise Against paid tribute to DC-based hardcore band Scream, by welcoming their former drummer and current Foo Fighters frontman, Dave Grohl, to the stage.
Performing Scream’s “Came Without Warning,” Grohl can be seen bashing the skins of the drum kit as members of Rise Against relentlessly travel the stage with authority.
“A long time ago in a land far, far away there was a band called Scream from DC, an amazing fucking band,” said Rise Against frontman Tim McIlrath during his introduction of Grohl. “We found somebody on this tour who knows Scream. Make some noise for the drummer of Scream, everybody.”
As the story goes, Grohl got the job in Nirvana after Melvins member Buzz Osbourne caught wind of Scream.
