Tool (Sort of) Announce a 2016 US Tour
“For those of you who only like NEWS about TOOL, here’s something that should be of great interest,” reads the true opening sentence of what appears to be Tool’s 2016 US tour announcement. But, it’s Tool, so who really knows for sure.
A “sonic and visual extravaganza” has been hinted at, with fans encouraged to standby and await word on dates, cities, venues and opening bands that will in “all likeliness be exciting to many Tool enthusiasts.” Shows are said to begin in January.
Tool’s last album, 10,000 Days, was released way back in 2006. Since then, vocalist Maynard James Keenan has surged forward with Puscifer, as he and the rest of Tool dealt with some lengthy legal issues. As for when a new Tool album can be expected, nothing has been confirmed.
