Stone Temple Pilots Comment on Scott Weiland’s Death

 
For years, Scott Weiland’s relationship with his former band, Stone Temple Pilots, had been strained, if not outright broken.

But, what we must remember is that before the music business and all that’s attached to it came into play, Weiland, Dean and Robert DeLeo and Eric Kretz were four friends that just wanted to make amazing music together.

Ever since news of Weiland’s passing emerged last night, lots of comments from fellow musicians have surfaced. Now, we’ve finally heard from the remaining members of Stone Temple Pilots via a Facebook post. It reads:

“Dear Scott,

Let us start by saying thank you for sharing your life with us. 

Together we crafted a legacy of music that has given so many people happiness and great memories.

The memories are many, and they run deep for us. 

We know amidst the good and the bad you struggled, time and time again. 

It’s what made you who you were.

All of our love and respect.

We will miss you brother,

Robert, Eric, Dean.”
