Solids Releasing “Else EP” in April

Montreal alt-rock duo, Solids, will release the Else EP on April 15 through Dine Alone Records and Topshelf Records. This will be the official follow-up to the band’s well-received 2014 LP, Blame Confusion.

“The EP serves as a melancholic deconstruction of the ’90s slacker ethos explored on their first LP, but it also charts Solids’ transition into a wider and more experimental sound, borrowing strands from Dinosaur Jr., Hum and Unwound and coiling them into an anxious, alienated sound that’s all their own,” reads a description of the Else EP. “The final product is a snapshot of a band that’s travelled 5000 miles in 19 minutes; a band that’s chained itself to the road in search of inspiration.”

Ahead of the EP’s release, Solids will get back to their touring ways with several dates booked alongside Riffyou.com favourites, The Dirty Nil.
