Listen to Ryan Adams’ 30-Second Clip of Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off”
Late Tuesday night (or earlier Wednesday morning, depending on where you live), Ryan Adams shared a 30-second clip of his reimagining of Taylor Swift’s massive hit, “Shake it Off.” As we are sure you’ve heard by now, Adams is covering Swift’s 1989 album in its entirety.
In the tweet that featured the audio, Adams thanked Bright Eyes band member Nate Walcott for helping make this slower, twangier and piano-driven version of “Shake it Off” a reality.
Coincidently, as Swift pointed out before this Adams tweet came out, August 18, 2015 marked the one-year anniversary of “Shake it Off” first being released and the 1989 album title being announced.

One year ago today, 'Shake It Off' was released and I told you my album would be called 1989. Just…. Thank you. For everything.
