Rancid’s Tim Armstrong Appearing on “The X-Files”

If you’ve kept a close eye on social media, you’ll notice that love for the recently brought back TV series, The X-Files, has been enormous. Even with a sizeable audience (16.2 and 9.2 million viewers for the first two episodes) tuning in to fall in love again with Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, it appears that the show could now become even more popular in the punk rock community in the coming weeks.

According to IMDB, Rancid leader and punk icon Tim Armstrong will appear on episode four of this season of The X-Files. Even though his skills are otherworldly, Armstrong, unfortunately, will not be playing something that emerged out of a fallen-from-the-sky UFO. Rather, he will be playing ‘Trashman.’

While we don’t currently have a plot outline for that episode (“Home Again”), we do know that it’ll air on Monday, February 8.

One could only imagine what ‘Trashman’ may do to the little green men and those trying to hide or save them.
