Listen to “Neon Zero” the New Album from Die Mannequin

On October 28, Toronto-based rockers, Die Mannequin, will unleash their first full-length album in five years: introducing, Neon Zero.

Back in July, band member Anthony Bleed gave Riffyou.com some early insight on what the album would have in store:

“It sounds pretty cool to me, which I can say without cockiness, as its Care’s creation, really,” explained Bleed. “Since it’s been a few years since our last album, I can say our sound has progressed.

He continued: “We have some synths and cool sounds in there, with some big drums and beats. It’s danceable – we’d hoped previous stuff was as well – but it’s still rockin’ like any Die Mannequin record! I think most people will be pleasantly surprised.”

The album – which will be released through eOne Music Canada – was recorded over the span of eight days in Vancouver. Despite the quick turnaround, Neon Zero sounds very carefully constructed and focused on getting rock fans to shake their asses.

“I am such a riffy motherfucker,” added frontwoman Care Failure in a press release regarding the album. “I can’t help myself. I’m a guitar wanker. There is never enough rock in it for me. I love bands like Sleigh Bells and The Kills, where you have both electronic and rock. That was the whole point, to show you could have it all together.”
