hmv Canada Opening Concert Spot in Toronto Store
hmv Canada is adding a whole other element to its Yonge & Dundas store location in Toronto by opening up a “live event space” 
within it. Labelled the “hmv Underground,” this spot will be ground zero for live performances and autograph signings from local, emerging, and nationally recognized musicians.
“We strive to offer customers new ways to consume music and entertainment,” says Nick Williams, President and CEO, hmv Canada. “We are excited to announce the construction of a live event space as an expansion to our business, bringing a new experience to our stores and entertainment fans alike.”
The music and entertainment retailer also notes that art exhibits will be held within this room, and that those who are a part of pure – hmv’s loyalty rewards program – will receive VIP access to special events.
Brody Dalle is slated to appear at the Underground on May 7 to perform songs from her debut solo album Diploid Love, and Manchester Orchestra will drop by on May 19.
