Hawksley Workman Performs “Don’t Take Yourself Away (Instant Nostalgia)”
Yesterday afternoon within the cozy and friendly confines of Toronto’s Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, prolific singer-songwriter and Mounties member, Hawksley Workman, took to the stage to perform selections from his forthcoming album, Old Cheetah (out June 2 through Six Shooter Records.)
During the roughly 45-minute affair, Workman treated the press- and music industry-heavy crowd with playful banter and often comedic backstories regarding the songs featured on Old Cheetah.
One of the many must-listens featured upon the album is “Don’t Take Yourself Away (Instant Nostalgia),” a song in which he co-wrote with fellow Mounties bandmate Steve Bays.
