Hawksley Workman Flying Off for a Fall Tour
Alternative rocker, Hawksley Workman, is headed back onto the road this fall for the Winter Bird Tour. Workman will be be gigging in support of his latest solo album, Old Cheetah.
The tour will launch on October 10 in St. John’s Newfoundland and Labrador, before closing off on November 28 in Whitby, Ontario. The full schedule can be seen below.
“You only are who you are when making an album,” said Workman of Old Cheetah during an interview with Riffyou.com. “With 15 albums in 16 years, I’ve been a very different person for each one. I am a much different person now than I was when I made For Him and the Girls. To me, albums are a dynamic grasp of emotion and confidence and power. Coming off of Mounties and The God that Comes, I felt like I had that daft, youthful confidence in myself again.”
He added: “I’m always a bit daft and cheeky, but this time around I felt like I had much more emotional money to spend on this album.”
