Whoa! Green Day Announce their New Single, “Bang Bang”

Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong has taken to Twitter to confirm that his band will release their new single, “Bang Bang,” on August 11. Of course, this must mean that a new album is very much on the horizon. In case you haven’t been keeping track, Green Day’s last batch of new music came in 2012 with the Uno!, Dos!, Tre! album trilogy.

“You know, I’ve always loved rock n’ roll music. I always have,” said Armstrong during Green Day’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015. “Soon as I opened my eyes and took my first breath, I’m a fan. And that’s the one thing that I’m going to close with is that I love rock & roll.”
