GoFundMe Campaign Created for Teenage Bottlerocket’s Brandon Carlisle
Yesterday, the punk rock community was rattled by the news that Teenage Bottlerocket drummer Brandon Carlisle was in a coma fighting for his life.
Support from fans, friends and bands quickly spread online, with #hopeforbrandon making waves on social media.
Today, Teenage Bottlerocket member Miguel Chen launched a GoFundMe campaign to help cover “whatever might happen.”
The goal is to raise $10,000 and (at the time of this article being written) more than $8,000 had been donated.
Here is a statement from Chen:
“Please keep Brandon in your thoughts and prayers as he fights for his life. As of November 5th he is still in a coma. His eyes are open so there may be hope, but only time will tell, the next few days will be huge in determining if Brandon is still with us. The amount of love and support Brandon has received from people all over the world has been simply amazing. From all of us at Teenage Bottlerocket, from all of Brandon’s family and loved ones thank you so much everyone. Now let’s try and raise some money to help pay for whatever might happen.”
Update: Due to the overwhelming response, the fundraising goal has been increased to $25,000.
