Who are you and what do you do?
“We are five young lads from Denmark who are playing deathcore with a vast amount of influences.”
In 100 words or less, tell us how your band has gotten to this point.
“Our journey has been short and intense, with a shifting in members and style of music. We have reached this point by believing in what we are doing and keeping the dedication high. The lineup for this band has changed a lot since the dawn of the band. Guitarists, drummers, bassists and vocalists have been changed during the short life span of the band. It has only proven to make the band stronger and more dedicated than ever before. Even though things have looked dark for the band, the dedication and the will to move on have lived on.”
What is your latest release and how would you best describe it to someone who hasn’t heard your band?
“Our latest release is “Just a Face.” This digital single is the stylistic milestone for us as it marks the change from a metalcore band to a deathcore band, as the other songs prior to this are metalcore. “Just a Face” can mostly be described as a brutal, rather slow song that hits you in the face with breakdowns and punching riffs.”
When making an album, which aspect of the process do you put the most time into and why?
“We haven’t yet made an album, but we are currently in the state of making an EP. The stages we focus on most is writing and rehearsing, as it is important for us to get our songs just right before recording them.”
What is the best part about your band and why?
“The best part of the band must be that; though we are very dedicated to the music, we still have the space to make some jokes and make fun. We are a family after all, so sometimes it might be a little childish. But we get the work done, and that is awesome.”
What makes your band unique from the rest?
“It’s hard to say. Maybe the way we work together as a group.”
How does your band survive the challenges of touring/gigging?
“This is a tough question. When we are playing gigs and all that, we are very nervous, and you know, that’s normal! But when we get up there, we give the audience a show!”
Would you rather be critically-acclaimed; rich and famous; or an under-the-radar band with a dedicated fan base?
“We would like to strive towards being somewhere between rich and famous and an under the radar band with a dedicated fan base, as our goal at the moment is just to get out and play abroad in various places.
If you’d have to compare your band to another one out there, living or dead, who would it be and why?
“It is very hard to say. Looking at our band from a genre perspective, we are similar to bands like Whitechapel, Emmure and Parkway Drive.”
Which band/musician would you like to share many drinks with? What would you talk about?
“As the different members are influenced by different musicians and bands, it is very hard to answer this question with just a single band.”
