Fucked Up Releasing “Glass Boys” in June

Highly-touted Toronto punk band Fucked Up are poised to release their fourth album, Glass Boys, through Arts & Crafts on June 3. You can download the first single, “Paper the House,” right here.

“Glass Boys is the product of a band reckoning with the success of its last two sweeping, defining, monolithic records,” reads a statement regarding the album.

“Musically,” it continues, “Glass Boys carries echoes of some of the more ragged and adventurous bands from America’s punk past (Husker Du, Dinosaur Jr.), but it also has some of the anthemic charge of The Who and the guttural intensity of Negative Approach. “

Fucked Up’s 2008 album, The Chemistry of Common Life, earned the band the Polaris Music Prize, followed in 2011 by the critically-acclaimed rock opera that was David Comes to Life.

The band has also revealed a brief North American run of tour dates, as well as a 10-date trek of Europe to take place in June. Scroll down to see the full schedule.
