Foo Fighters Play Before People & Pepperoni
On Monday night at Moorpark, CA’s Redballs Rock & Roll Pizza restaurant, Foo Fighters surprised 200 attendees with a full blown rock show. Attendees had reportedly paid $10 ahead for what was dubbed the Chevy Metal Christmas Dance Party. Foos drummer Taylor Hawkins is also a member of the latter.
The band, who is set to make their big-stage live return in Mexico City this week, crammed 23 songs into their set, including hits like “All My Life,” “My Hero,” and “Everlong.” Foo Fighters also paid tribute to Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers with a cover of their track, “Breakdown.”
Recently, Foos frontman Dave Grohl confirmed that the band will release the follow-up to 2011’s Grammy Award-winning album, Wasting Light, in 2014. He has stated that it will “not be a conventional record.”
