EXCLUSIVE Premiere: JOJII’s Biting New Song, “Found”
On March 22, up and coming dark Toronto alternative artist JOJII will release his new EP, I Want to Die (via Wonderghost Records.) This, as it has been explained to Riffyou.com, is one that came to life following “a summer of reckless drug use, pill abuse, heavy alcoholism, self-abuse and neglect to self-care.”
The latest song to emerge from the seven-song I Want to Die is the biting track, “Found,” which has been described as “a swan song based around the feeling of over encumbrance that is nurtured by neglect to self-care, neurosis, and a negative outlook on ones own being. Melodic melancholy ambiance matched with a primal rhythm section are layered with lyrical content descriptive of self-imposed mortality and loneliness. ‘Found,’ in its truest nature, is a final cry for help.”
Also, it just sounds straight-up wicked.
