How Much Money Would You Give to Charity for a NIN Autographed Guitar?

Trent Reznor is one of the latest imagemusicians to donate a pretty wicked item and experience to the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund charitable initiative that “provides financial assistance to all types of career musicians who are struggling to make ends meet while facing illness, disability, or age-related problems.”

Up for auction until 3pm ET today, is a Les Paul Studio Goth guitar signed by members of Nine Inch Nails. The guitar was used and subsequently beaten up during the band’s 2007 world tour. The winning bidder would also get the opportunity to have a 20-minute meet and greet with Trent Reznor.

During that meet and greet, the winning bidder can bring a friend, have a professional photo taken with Reznor and get two pieces of smaller memorabilia signed by the rocker. Of course, you’re also politely asked to not be a nutjob during this encounter:

“We expect all winning bidders and their guests to conduct themselves appropriately when attending an experience won at Charitybuzz,” reads a statement on the auction’s official online hub. “Polite manners and respect for the generous donor and adherence to any rules or parameters are a must.”

The prize is valued at $10,000 and at the time of this writing, the highest bid was a smidge over $6,000.
