Born Ruffians Bringing Us “B-Sides & Acoustics Vinyl
As we previously reported, Record Store Day has lined up a seriously impressive list of Black Friday releases. In addition to cool 
new vinyl coming from RUN DMC, Ramones, Green Day, New Order, and Metallica, it’s been confirmed that Canadian indie rock favourites, Born Ruffians, will give us something as well.
On November 28, the band will unleash B-Sides & Acoustics, a nine-track offering that is exactly what its title would suggest. Only 500 copies of the hand-numbered gold vinyl will be made available.
To celebrate the release, Born Ruffians will play a set at Toronto’s Tiny Record Shop (804 Queen Street East) that same day. The start time is still to be determined.
Currently, Born Ruffians are in the midst of working on the follow-up to their much-loved third album, Birthmarks.
When Riffyou.com caught up with the band this summer, frontman Luke Lalonde expressed his desire to really capture a new vibe on the next Born Ruffians album, even though ideas weren’t coming easily.
“I just feel like I want to do something different,” said Lalonde. “I just always want to do something that’s exciting and something that’s inspiring enough to make me want to work on it. I’m just having a hard time finding those songs right now. I just want to write more and more, because I really think there’s a lot waiting to be put out from my brain.”
