Watch Muse Debut New Song, “Reapers”
Fan-filmed footage of Muse road-testing yet another new song from their forthcoming album, Drones, has surfaced. During a gig last night at Ulster Hall in Belfast, the band closed a hit-filled set with “Reapers,” the latest sign of encouragement that the power-prog trio is back with a vengeance.
Drones is due June 8, while its first official single “Dead Inside” will emerge on March 23. Last week, Muse released a lyrics video for the new track, “Psycho.”
“To me, ‘Drones’ are metaphorical psychopaths which enable psychopathic behavior with no recourse,” says Muse vocalist and guitarist Matthew Bellamy. “The world is run by Drones utilizing Drones to turn us all into Drones. Drones explores the journey of a human, from their abandonment and loss of hope, to their indoctrination by the system to be a human drone, to their eventual defection from their oppressors.”
