Watch: “Kingdom of Zod” Video by Billy Talent
Following the release of their Hits package earlier this week, Billy Talent has given us a video for one of the album’s two new songs, “Kingdom of Zod.”
In the clip, the band bash out the track in what looks to be a condemned space in an emptied building, as they’re surrounded by a throng of passionate fans. Amidst the performance shots, is footage of shady folk, participating in hedonistic behaviour, as masked soldiers attempt to storm the space in which Billy Talent and their people have occupied.
During Riffyou.com’s interview with BT drummer Aaron Solowoniuk at Riot Fest Toronto in September, he explained to us the motivation behind his band’s new music:
“I think it’s very healthy to take risks. It’s scary,” he said. “It’s comfortable to do the same thing and there’s nothing wrong with that at all. But for us four guys, we just wanted to see what we could come up with. We’ve been through a lot together. We’ve had a lot of ups and downs, and you can hear that in the [new] songs.”
