Watch Future Islands Send a Song Out to Baltimore
Last night, Future Islands made a triumphant return to The Late Show with David Letterman, just a little more than a year after the show launched the Baltimore-based synth-pop band into the stratosphere.
Letterman, who is preparing to say goodbye to his time on The Late Show, introduced Future Islands last night with much enthusiasm and the band proved his excitement legitimate by performing its excellent new track, “The Chase.”
Ahead of scuffing up the floor with his dance moves, frontman Samuel T. Herring dedicated the performance to Baltimore before emphatically smacking his chest.
As we’re sure you know, Baltimore is currently in a State of Emergency after protests over the death of Freddie Gray turned violent and destructive.
