Watch Foo Fighters Perform with David Lee Roth
On Saturday night at The Forum in Inglewood, CA, Foo Fighters leader Dave Grohl held an epic 46th birthday bash that featured a ridiculous number of special guests including David Lee Roth (Van Halen), Paul Stanley (Kiss), Lemmy Kilmister (Motörhead), Slash, Alice Cooper, Zakk Wylde, Perry Farrell (Jane’s Addiction), and Tenacious D.
The event, which was titled ‘An Evening with Foo Fighters in the Round,’ was surprisingly announced last week and subsequently became a rock n’ roll extravaganza.
Among the highlights was Tenacious D and Slash joining Foo Fighters for Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song,” Paul Stanley jumping in with “Detroit Rock City,” Alice Cooper arriving for “I’m Eighteen,” and our personal favourite, David Lee Roth leaping into action with a pair of Van Halen classics, “Panama” and “Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love.”
The massive evening also consisted of Foo Fighters favourites like “Everlong” and “My Hero,” as well as selections from the band’s newest album, Sonic Highways.
