Watch Celebs Sing Sleater-Kinney’s “No Cities to Love” in New Video
Sometimes what makes a music video great is stripping down the expensive lighting, poor acting, obvious lip-syncing and useless off-putting plotlines, and focusing on the passion in which the song evokes.
Well, Sleater-Kinney has managed to do this for their new video for “No Cities to Love,” in which a sizeable cast of celebs are filmed in their natural habitats singing along to the track. Some shake an ass, some look introspective, some get overtly taken in, while others try to toss a comedic touch in for good measure.
Featured here are Fred Armisen, Gerard Way, Brie Larson, Ellen Page, Natasha Lyonne, Andy Samberg, Connie Britton, Miranda July, Norman Reedus, Sarah Silverman, Evan Rachel Wood, J Mascis, Vanessa Bayer, Janet Weiss, Corin Tucker, as well as the band.
Sleater-Kinney’s album, No Cities to Love, is their first album in 10 years – you can get it on January 20 through Sub Pop Records.
Enjoy!
