Listen to “Empty Bottle,” the Killer New Veruca Salt Song
Sweet baby Jesus, this forthcoming Veruca Salt album is shaping up to be a beast. After previously releasing the mightily solid tracks “Laughing in the Sugar Bowl” and “The Gospel According to Saint Me,” comes the equally ferocious and passionate “Empty Bottle.”
Unlike its two predecessors, “Empty Bottle” starts at a much slower pace, cranks up as you get deeper, before once again pulling back and giving the listener a more introspective feel near the end. At the very least, Veruca Salt prove here that Ghost Notes (available July 10 through El Camino Records), is going to be an album with the depth that not all reunited bands can muster.
