UnCut Audio: Between the Buried and Me on Comas & Storytelling
Earlier this month, the progressive metal quintet known as Between The Buried And Me released Coma Ecliptic, an album that “follows the wanderings of an unidentified man, stuck in a coma, as he journeys through his past lives.”
The epic-feeling 68-minute album (Between the Buried and Me’s eighth in total) travels ambitious territory, even for a band now in its 15th year of existance.
Recently, Riffyou.com spent some time on the phone with Between the Buried and Me frontman and chief songwriter, Tommy Rogers, to discuss his fascination with comas, reincarnation, alternate universes, as well as where his expansive song writing pallet came from.
