Twin Forks Join Counting Crows on Canadian Tour
Modern folk collective, Twin Forks, will get in the van and head across Canada this spring with rock 
veterans Counting Crows for a series of dates. The tour will spring into action on April 28 in Vancouver, BC, before wrapping on May 23 in Saint John’s Newfoundland and Labrador.
Twin Forks, which features Chris Carrabba of Dashboard Confessional, came on strong in 2014 with their Dine Alone Records-released debut, Self-Titled, album. It’s big single, “Back to You,” gave fans of Carrabba’s heartfelt lyrical work something to hold onto, and folk fans something that felt familiar, yet amped up a bit.
As Twin Forks began to build momentum, Riffyou.com spoke with Carrabba about the fears he had of venturing into new musical territory.
“[The intimidation] is a big reason why I didn’t take on this genre of music,” explained Carrabba. “I didn’t think I could do it justice.”
He continued. “The fact that I didn’t know if I could excel within the parameters of this genre I respected so much kept me from wanting to play it. That was a long time ago, and now I feel like I can. I’m a seasoned songwriter and I can certainly play the music. If I can play the songs, then the challenge becomes being able to write within the parameters of that style, excel, and find some new territory.”
