Throwback Thursday: Weezer’s Best 9 Videos
Next week will see the highly-anticipated release of Weezer’s ninth proper studio album, Everything Will be Alright in the End. So with that in mind, we’d like to take this Throwback Thursday opportunity to relive the band’s best nine videos to date.
“Undone (The Sweater Song)”
This is Weezer at its youngest. Rivers Cuomo rocks out with a classic ‘90s era mushroom cut before stray dogs infiltrate the set.
“The Good Life”
Whoa, is that Chloe from 24 delivery pizzas and looking super annoyed about it? Why yes it is!
“Perfect Situation”
Here, Elisha Cuthbert triumphantly portrays herself as the ultimate nightmare of a frontwoman of Weeze. When she finally flames out, Cuomo comes to the rescue and gets behind the mic.
“Pork and Beans”
For a band that’s packed YouTube with a ton of great videos over the years, Weezer gives back and gives more spotlight to those who found 15-minutes of fame from the site.
“Island in the Sun”
Weezer makes friends with monkeys and baby lions. What else do you need?
“Say It Ain’t So”
Apart from a hacky-sack interlude, this clip is primarily performance driven. Despite the lack of special effects, celebrity cameos, or a ridiculous plot line, it’s hard not to be captivated.
“Hash Pipe”
There are very few times in life when you can watch sumo wrestlers duke it out to a band often described as nerd-rockers.
“Keep Fishin’”
How could we possibly ignore Weezer messing around with The Muppets?
“Buddy Holly”
This video is easily Weezer’s best, if not one of the best music videos to ever be made. Supplanting the band seamlessly within old clips from Happy Days is as endearing and fun now as it was back in 1994. This one is all killer and zero filler.
