The “Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck” Box Set is a Beast
While we know that the Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck Blu-ray, DVD and soundtrack will be released on November 13, we’ve now learned some details about the magnificent Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck Super Deluxe Edition box set.
Included in this package (also to be released on November 13) will be the film, along with 48 minutes worth of bonus interviews, on Blu-ray and DVD. The soundtrack will be bumped up from 13 songs to 31 songs and come on CD and cassette. Both will have a mix of full songs, demos and spoken word.
A 160-page hardbound book with extended interviews and images from the Cobain archive will also be featured, as will a puzzle with a collectible storage container, movie poster, postcards and bookmark.
Even though no vinyl is included in this box set, a separate 2LP edition of Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck: The Home Recordings will be out on December 4. Ahead of that, a 7” featuring Cobain covering The Beatles will be released on November 20.
