Exclusive EP Preview: The Anti-Queens – “Start Running”

On June 8, Toronto rock trio The Anti-Queens – Emily Bones, Mary Deth and Kurt Styxon – will independently release its second EP Start Running. The hard-hitting, six-song affair has been handed over to Riffyou.com to give you an exclusive preview of the album before it lands on the street.

“The Anti-Queens have been going through some changes throughout the last year,” relayed the band’s drummer, Kurt Styxon, to Riffyou.com. “Though the last EP turned out great, our DIY band has gone through a pretty massive transformation. Pretty much a new band and a new drive. I joined the band last year February, and for the last year and a bit, we’ve been rebuilding and getting things rolling again. Our direction is climbing ladders to the top, no matter how much work it takes as individuals. We’ve been very fortunate with our fans and friends noticing our growth and supporting our movement however they can.”

He continued: “With our album coming out, month long tour to the USA in July, and definitely more songs and albums to come, we’re looking at this album as the ignition of a sonic bomb, and everybody better start running, because we’ve started running, and this shits gunna blow some brains out.”
