The Age of Electric Reuniting for One-Off Gig
The last time The Age of Electric – Ryan Dahle, Kurt Dahle, Todd Kerns and John Kerns – performed together was in 1998 in support of Our Lady Peace. Now, it’s been confirmed that the radio-friendly rock contingent will reunite for a one-off gig on August 29 at the Marquee Beer Market & Stage in Calgary, Alberta.
During The Age of Electric’s nine-year run, the group released a trio of albums, as well as a pair of EPs. Tracks including “Ugly” and “Remote Control” have since become staples for fans of the ’90s Canadian rock scene.
Outside of The Age of Electric, Ryan and Kurt went on to found Limblifter, while the Kerns brothers put Static in Stereo together. Most recently, Ryan formed Mounties with Steve Bays and Hawksley Workman, along with re-launching Limblifter. Kurt spent many years as the drummer for The New Pornographers, before departing the band in 2014. Todd has been a member of Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators since 2010.
