The Tea Party Book Cross-Canada Tour
On September 8, reunited rock trio, The Tea Party released The Ocean at the End, their first new album since 2004’s Seven Circles. Now it’s time for the fellas to hit the road.
As the band gears up for a run of Australian dates this month, it’s been announced that the collective – Jeff Martin, Stuart Chatwood, and Jeff Burrows – will return home for a stretch of Canadian shows as the whether gets crisper.
The 15-date tour (all shows listed below) kicks off on November 17 at The Venue in Peterborough, ON, before wrapping on December 10 in Vancouver, BC. Visit Ticketmaster.ca for more details.
“It’s a rock n’ roll record,” says Martin about The Ocean at the End. “We started the writing process in Byron Bay, and songs like ‘Brazil,’ ‘Cass Corridor,’ ‘Submission,’ and ‘Water’s on Fire’ came out of that session.
“But where things got really exciting for us was when we jammed in Windsor,” he continues. “Songs like ‘The 11th Hour’ and ‘L.o.C.’ came out and it was really rock n’ roll. We were having fun and not over-thinking it anymore. The water had passed under the bridge, and we’re three friends now. ‘What do you guys want to do, rock? Okay, let’s go!’”
