Stream Marilyn Manson Album, “The Pale Emperor”
While last week we learned that Marilyn Manson refuses to fully take his underwear off during sex, today we learn how the self-proclaimed ‘God of Fuck’ sounds on his latest album, The Pale Emperor.
This, Manson’s 10th album and first since 2012’ Born Villain, is now currently streaming on SoundCloud, thanks to Genius.
One thing is for certain: The Pale Emperor was not influenced by the sound in which Manson was surrounded by during his early years as a music journalist.
“I hated rock n’ roll when I started,” said Manson in a recent interview with Noisey. “It was on the cusp of grunge and a lot of bands that I used to call ‘commonist rock,’ because everyone wanted to be like the common man with the flannel shirts and Pearl Jam and their fight against Ticketmaster and all this horse shit. Nirvana was different. That was one of the bands I covered first as a journalist and I’m just going to go ahead and say I coined the term ‘grunge’ in a review of Bleach. You’re welcome.”
