Smashing Pumpkins Sell “Fuck You Anderson Cooper” Shirts
When Billy Corgan posed for a recent cover of the well natured and intentioned PAWS Chicago Magazine, chances are he didn’t think that it would be covered on CNN…or at least not in a negative way.
Well, last month on Anderson Cooper 360, the silver-haired anchor took shots at Corgan during a segment called “The RidicuList.” During his presentation, Cooper – perhaps playfully – took issue with Corgan and what he’s been up to outside of music, wondering if he was “off his alternative rocking chair.” He also cited a furniture commercial that Corgan starred in as a point of issue.
Corgan eventually went to Twitter to respond to Cooper’s opinions, but has decided to take things one step further: concert t-shirts that read “Fuck You Anderson Cooper.”
Made available at last night’s Smashing Pumpkins show in their hometown of Chicago, the t-shirt featured the slogan along with a pair of cats wearing white bow ties.
Cooper has yet to respond, but chances are he’s too busy in Ferguson, MO, dealing with the Michael J. Brown killing aftermath.
