Riff Clips of the Year: The Strumbellas Discuss Where “Sailing” Came From
Canadian modern-folk collective, The Strumbellas, had one hell of a year. The band won the 2014 JUNO Award for Roots and Traditional Album of the Year (Group) for their 2013 album We Still Move on Dance Floors, before putting it out in the US and travelling as far as touring van could take them.
Ahead of the band’s performance at July’s Toronto Urban Roots Festival, Riffyou.com spent a few minutes with members Simon Ward and David Ritter to discuss where their hit single “Sailing” came from.
