Riff Clip: Hollerado Tell Us About “Lonesome George”
Earlier this summer, Riffyou.com met up with Menno Versteeg of indie rock act Hollerado to discuss what the band is up to now. What we learned, is that they are working on over 100 songs, the best dozen or so of which will be featured on the next album.
Beyond that, we asked Versteeg to provide some insight into a Hollerado track. Instead of opting for a big single, he chose “Lonesome George,” an album cut from the 2013 offering White Paint.
The story he has is rather fascinating (spoiler alert: it involves a tortoise!), and fortunately we had our camera rolling to capture all of it:
