Oh My Yeezus! Kanye West is Coming Back to Canada
Hip-hop’s lord and saviour Kanye “Yeezus” West is bound for two more Canadian tour stops this year, as it’s been revealed that he’ll hit Montreal, QC’s Bell Centre on February 17 and Hamilton, ON’s Copps Coliseum on February 18.
The outspoken “Gold Digger” hit maker was originally supposed to play Montreal in November, but cancelled that date after concert production equipment was seriously damaged while being transported. While refunds for that show were made available to ticketholders, thus far it is unclear if those stubs, if held onto, will be honoured at the re-booked event. Meanwhile, tickets for the Hamilton show will go on sale on Friday, January 10 at 10am EST. Riffyou.com expects new Montreal tickets to be available on this date as well.
The Yeezus Tour is West’s first solo road venture in five years.
2013 was a headlining-grabbing year for West. Apart from Yeezus becoming one of the year’s most critically acclaimed albums, the rapper had a baby with and got engaged to Kim Kardashian; got mad at Nike; roughed up at least one paparazzi; was spoofed by James Franco and Seth Rogen; and very publically walked into a street sign. We recently offered West some New Year’s resolutions so that his 2014 can be a much more peaceful time.
