Muse to Release “Drones” in June
Muse is back with some new ma-ma-ma-ma-mad-mad-ness, as the UK power prog-rock trio will release their new album Drones on June 8.
Says vocalist/guitarist Matt Bellamy of the album “To me, ‘Drones’ are metaphorical psychopaths which enable psychopathic behavior with no recourse. The world is run by Drones utilizing Drones to turn us all into Drones. Drones explores the journey of a human, from their abandonment and loss of hope, to their indoctrination by the system to be a human drone, to their eventual defection from their oppressors.”
Tomorrow, Muse is expected to release a teaser track from the album (“Psycho”), while the first single from Drones, “Dead Inside,” will debut the week of March 23.
Drones was co-produced by Muse and Robert “Mutt” Lange, a man who helped the likes of AC/DC, Def Leppard and Shania Twain make mega-selling, sonically ridiculous albums.
This will be the first Muse album since 2012’s The 2nd Law and will likely be awesome, because that’s how Muse likes to roll.
