Canadian Rock act, Monster Truck, Want to Sponsor a Youth Hockey Club
As Monster Truck draw closer to releasing a follow up to its pounding 2013 album Furiosity, the band is hoping to sponsor a youth hockey team this year. If you’ve spent any time on Monster Truck’s social media pages, it’s easy to see that the guys are avid sports fans and recreational players.
“We are looking to sponsor a Youth Hockey team this year and it could be your team! Please send a detailed email explaining why it should be your team,” reads a post on the official Monster Truck Facebook page. “Please include what you would be needing beyond Jersey’s and socks as well as a little back story on the team (Where you are located, Age group, Past History) and we will choose 1 team to become the youth Monster Truck Hockey Club.”
The Hamilton, Ontario-based rock collective is encouraging applicants to get creative and use videos and/or photos to state their case. Those interested in applying can do so by contacting Monster Truck directly at monstertruckmonstertruck@gmail.com. Deadline for entry is September 1.
“We are also looking to keep going with updates through the season so we can see how the team is doing,” adds the band. “Win or lose it’s all about fun and we’d love to see a team reppin’ the MT logo on the ice!”
