Marilyn Manson & Smashing Pumpkins Touring Together this Summer

Two of rock n’ roll’s most quotable and polarizing figures – Marilyn Manson and Billy Corgan – will take their bands on the road this summer for a co-headlining North American tour.

The End Times Tour will begin on July 7 in Concord, California and come to a close on August 8 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Toronto, Ontario is the only Canadian city on the schedule.

In December 2014, Manson joined Smashing Pumpkins on stage in London, England for a performance of “Ava Adore.” Up until that point, many assumed that Manson and Corgan were entwined in a longstanding hate-fest.

“I ran into Billy [Corgan], and a lot of people think there was some kind of falling out,” said Manson in an interview with Esquire in January. “It was mostly that he wrote a strongly worded letter about how Rose McGowan would ruin my life and ruin my career if I stayed with her, which was good advice, and he wrote it as a letter, which is very polite. There is sort of a guy code that I abide by where he totally offered his advice, and he was genuinely just looking out for my best interests. I hadn’t seen him in 15 years. I had forgotten how close we were, having not seen him in so long. He’s the one who taught me how to play guitar, so if it sucks or it’s good, it’s his fault.”

As for Smashing Pumpkins, this may be as good a time as any to see the band, as Corgan recently stated that the future for said project is “murky.”

“The future of the Smashing Pumpkins is kinda murky,” explained Corgan in a new interview with Peru’s Radio Oasis. “I’ve only committed to the idea of The Smashing Pumpkins through, pretty much, to the end of this year. After that I’m gonna see how it goes.”
