Look Up, Way Up! It’s the Title of the Next Muse Album
When a new Muse album is released, you can always expect a steady sonic explosion, Matt Belamy’s firecracker-of-a-voice pummeling your ears, ambitious word play, along with a smidge of pretentiousness. It’s a beautiful thing.
In 2012, Muse gave us a marvelous album by the name of The 2nd Law, but it is believed that 2015 will be the year in which the UK trio follows that bad boy up.
Recently, a video surfaced on the Muse Instagram account that leads us to believe that the band’s seventh album will be titled Drones. When you watch the clip believe, keep a close eye on the computer screen that the camera pans across.
Of the new album, NME published the following quote from Bellamy: “I have this strong feeling that the next album should be something that really does strip away the additional things that we’ve experimented with on the last two albums, which is electronics, symphonics and orchestral work and all that kind of stuff.”
Let’s hope the scary militant yelling heard in the background of this video isn’t part of Muse’s new direction:
Drones could be a big talking point in 2015. In addition to the flying objects potentially inspiring the title of the next Muse album, drones also inspired a song on the forthcoming Anti-Flag album, American Spring.
