Shock-rock extraordinaire Marilyn Manson has musically resurfaced with the release of a brooding, yet surprisingly toned-down single, “Third Day of a Seven Day Binge.”
Although Manson has been busy of late exercising his acting chops in Eastbound & Down and Once Upon a Time, it appears as if he’s been exploring some new musical directions.
“Third Day of a Seven Day Binge” sounds carefully restrained, with a very bluesy vibe, yet feels as if Manson is about to explode at any time. You can stream the song below, then download it at Manson’s official website.
Manson – whose last album, Born Villain, emerged in 2012 – hasn’t offered details about when his next offering will come out. But, this song is encouraging.
