Listen to New Billy Talent Track “Chasing the Sun”
Billy Talent will release their Hits album next week, but today we’re now able to check out the second new song from it, Chasing 
the Sun.
Even though the band has announced on their Facebook page that the song will be released tomorrow, we have discovered it on the BillyTalentHungary YouTube channel.
It is a far more toned-down affair than the previously released single, “Kingdom of Zod,” as the passing of drummer Aaron Solowoniuk’s brother served as the inspiration for it. Despite the sadness and challenges that likely went into making this song, it sounds inspired and shows us a whole new side of Billy Talent.
“My brother passed away two years ago,” confided Solowoniuk in an interview with Riffyou.com in September. “It was really hard for me…and a difficult time. This song that’s coming out is about me having a hard time losing somebody…anyone who has had a hard time losing somebody close [should relate.]”
He continued: “It was really weird, because six months before my brother died, I was having a conversation with my wife about how I’d never lost anyone close to me before. Ben, Ian, and Jon all saw me go through this difficult time and this song came out of it.”
