Limblifter Return with New Album, “Pacific Milk”
It’s hard to believe that it’s been 11 years since we last heard new music from BC-based alt-rock collective, Limblifter. But fortunately, any sad feelings we have about that can be wiped away knowing that the band will release Pacific Milk on April 7.
Led by Ryan Dahle (vocals, guitar), Limblifter first arrived in 1996 when he and his brother Kurt (formerly of The New Pornographers) used it as a side project to their primary band, The Age of Electric. Today, the lineup consists of Megan Bradfield, (bass), Brent Follett (drums), and Greg MacDonald (keyboard).
Pacific Milk features 13 tracks and will be released via re-recordings/We Are Busy Bodies. To hear what the band is up to, check out their lead single, “Dopamine,” below.
Currently, Dahle is a member of Mounties, a glisteningly great project he formed with Hawksley Workman and Steve Bays (formerly of Hot Hot Heat).
“It is kind of late in life to again go out on the road and play with a rock band again. I didn’t really see that in my future. It was a surprise, but I’m enjoying every second of it,” said Dahle about Mounties during a summer conversation with Riffyou.com. “This is kind of like a travelling dinner party. These are the guys I’d invite to my house for dinner, but here we are playing music and going places. We’re really lucky.”
