Hey, look! It’s Jared Leto as The Joker!
After a cast photo of the forthcoming Suicide Squad movie emerged on Wednesday without the presence of Jared Leto, #WhereIsJared soon became a thing on Twitter, even though a quick look at the 30 Seconds to Mars tour itinerary could’ve answered that question quickly.
No less, Suicide Squad Director David Ayer simultaneously calmed down and livened up the Twitter-sphere by publishing this photo of Leto as, of course, The Joker. If his pose looks familiar to you, that’s because it is in reference to the Batman graphic novel, The Killing Joke.
Additional casting includes: Deadshot (Will Smith), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), the Enchantress (Cara Delavigne), Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman) as well as Amanda Waller (Viola Davis). Suicide Squad hits theatres on August 5, 2016.
In 2014, Leto won an Academy Award for his supporting role in Dallas Buyers Club.
