The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame have announced its 2015 class of nominees, which features the likes of Green Day, Nine Inch UNITED KINGDOM - JANUARY 01: Photo of Billie Joe ARMSTRONG and GREEN DAY and Tre COOL and Mike DIRNT; L-R. Mike Dirnt, Billie Joe Armstrong, Tre Cool (Photo by Nigel Crane/Redferns)Nails, N.W.A., The Smiths, Lou Reed, Sting, and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts.

Additional nominees include Kraftwerk, Chic, Stevie Ray Vaughan, War, Bill Withers, The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, The Marvelettes, and The Spinners.

Those who receive the most votes for inclusion will be inducted at a ceremony on April 18, 2015 in Cleveland, OH.

To make the voting more inclusive, fans will once again be allowed to have their say on who gets in. From now until December 9, fans can head over to RollingStone.com to vote on who they’d like to see get in. The top five vote getters will make up a “fan’s ballot” that will count as one of the 700 ballots used to induct the artists.

To be eligible for induction in 2015, the artists would have needed to release their first single or album in 1989 or earlier. While many of those on this nominees list have been on the ballot before, this is the first time that Green Day, Nine Inch Nails, The Smiths, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Bill Withers, and Sting (solo) have appeared.
