Gallows to Release “Desolation Sounds” in April
British punk act Gallows will release their fourth full-length album, Desolation Sounds, on April 14 through Venn Records and Universal Music Canada.
“I think the album sounds really fearless,” says guitarist Laurent ‘Lags’ Barnard. “It’s the sound of a band that’s comfortable with playing music together, rather than trying to fit into a certain scene or zeitgeist or any preconceived notion of what the band should be. We just ignored the outside music world and made an album that felt good in our guts.
He continues: “[It’s] the record I’ve dreamt about making.”
The 10-track album is said to be a “new body of work [that] builds upon the aggression and passion of the band’s acclaimed catalogue, while opening up new horizons for the quartet.”
Gallows is fronted by Wade MacNeil, who is best known for the years he spent as a vocalist and guitarist for the JUNO Award-winning and platinum-selling band, Alexisonfire. He joined Gallows in 2011 after the departure of Frank Carter.
Desolation Sounds can be pre-ordered today.
