For 5 Seconds, Kurt Cobain Imitates Soundgarden Singer
In the latest Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck video snippet to make its way around the web, comes a clip of the late Nirvana frontman doing his best impersonation of Soundgarden‘s Chris Cornell.
With Courtney Love draped on his back, Cobain uses a shaving razor as a microphone and belts out a couple seconds of “Outshined,” one of the most badass songs in the Soundgarden repertoire.
“From the moment Kurt Cobain burst into the public scene with ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit,’ there has been an absolute cultural obsession with Kurt,” stated Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck director Brett Morgen in an interview earlier this year. “But Kurt had very limited interactions with media during his lifetime and so the public’s perception of Kurt, for the most part for the last 25 years, has been very steeped in mythology, projection and fantasy. With Montage of Heck, audiences for the first time are going to meet Kurt Cobain.”
