With the Real Foo Fighters Out, a UK Tribute Act Will Play Near Wembley
Well, Foo Fighters may no longer be playing Wembley Stadium this weekend thanks to Dave Grohl’s busted leg, but it’s been discovered that the UK Foo Fighters tribute band will be playing at the nearby Crystal Clubs (on June 19 and 20) instead.
Now, before we start rolling our eyes to the point where our faces begin to hurt, UK Foo Fighters aren’t totally capitalizing on the gig. The band is only asking for donations at the door, with proceeds going to the Given to Live charity.
The event poster explains that UK Foo Fighters are doing this show for the fans who had their hearts set on seeing the real Foo Fighters this weekend and are “gutted” by the cancellations.
Last September, UK Foo Fighters singer Jay Apperley was welcomed on stage at secret show held by Foo Fighters in Brighton, England. You can watch footage of that right here:
