Florence + The Machine Add North American Tour Dates
Hot off Florence + The Machine releasing How Big How Blue How Beautiful, comes word that after a number of high-profile summer performances (including Bonnaroo Bestival Toronto and Glastonbury), the band will embark on a run of North American tour dates.
The tour launches on October 11 at Austin City Limits in Texas, before drawing to a close on October 27 at the Key Arena in Seattle, Washington.
Last month, Florence Welch looked back at her October 2014 performance at Neil Young’s Bridge School Benefit Concert and how the iconic rocker first thought she was a man.
“He said that when he first heard my record, he thought that I was a man with a high voice [laughs]. He was like, ‘I live in the mountains. I don’t know much media. I just thought you were a man called Florence,’” recalled Welch. “And I was like, ‘Hey, that’s pretty punk.’ ” I was like, ‘Thanks, Neil. Thank you so much.’”
